The Hive Movement

THE TENSION

The Hive’s multifaceted approach—spanning housing, education, and restoration—lacked a unified brand architecture, making its deep community impact and mission difficult for donors and partners to fully grasp.

THE IMPACT

Streamlined community outreach and simplified the donor narrative, providing the strategic "connective tissue" necessary for the nonprofit to scale and secure long-term investment for its physical campus.

THE STRATEGY

Unified their mission under a cohesive 'mission-critical brand architecture.' We translated the value of Ubuntu into a functional communication roadmap, ensuring every touchpoint—from digital outreach to the physical campus—felt like a single, connected ecosystem.

THE IDEA

A reinvigorated brand identity rooted in Afrofuturism. We elevated the logo into a scalable system and created custom iconography to humanize services, ensuring the mission felt authentic to youth culture rather than corporate.
